Mission and Values

The State Conciliation and Mediation Officer (SCMO) is a public officer appointed for a term of five years by the Minister of Social Affairs and Equality. His position is grounded in the Act on Trade Unions and Industrial Disputes of 1938.

 

Vision

Peace in the labour-market – Concluding collective agreements before the older ones expire.

 

Mission

To provide professional, effective and timely services to negotiating parties in collective bargaining – i.e. between employees and their unions, on the one hand, and employers and their associations on the other.
